What it’s like
The Polar Night Marathon is a January road race in Tromsø, run during the polar night when the sun stays below the horizon. It comes from the same organiser as the Midnight Sun Marathon. The 2027 race is on 9 January, with 5 km, 10 km, half-marathon and marathon distances, on winter roads. It's a good reason to keep training through December. Plan for winter conditions and check the organiser's site for kit advice and registration.
Organiser: Stiftelsen Midnight Sun Marathon.
